How far can we go when we go abroad?

These days, I was thinking about my self-development during my stay in Vancouver. I not only learnt English, I have been learning how to socialize with another culture. It is obvious all these differences have a strong impact in the first moments, but after a while you have to absorb and try to adapt and respect. I don't think that we should compare and make assumptions of which is "better" or "makes more sense". If go abroad and live as you live in your country, it doesn't make any sense! Travel to distant place, sometimes in a trip that takes one or more days, means experience new situations. So, if you keep your old habits and thoughts, you will never enjoy the maximum of you can. When I was in school, I used to observe student's behavior. After classes, most of them met their same-country friends and started to speak their native language.. What?!?! I just could think: "They are spending money for nothing!!!" It was rare find someone worried about their English, pronunciation, accent, or just simply worry about learning. Maybe I can be wrong and also cruel. But it was my perception about them. What I want to say is that a person really need to open their mind and spirit to receive all the news that is coming. Only think in what you will see, taste, hear, prove, learn and face this as a step to evolution. Yes, evolution is the word! Because, in my point of view, evolution "evolve" "motion", which means GO, MOVE! Be clean, with no prejudgments or fear. Is completely normal be anxious before travel take the airplane and arrive somewhere. This is part of the process and makes this exciting. For that reason I strongly recommend, GO! Save your money, planning, chose a country and GO! Do this favor for yourself. During your trip or in the end you will notice the differences in you. You will start to see the world exactly how it is, BIG, and what you are, SMALL. And this is so freaking good because we can have the chance to know many place. Because if was the opposite, if we were BIG and the world was small, we couldn't move. You see?! I gave many reasons to go abroad. So, what are you waiting for?

Registrar esta foto foi um ato totalmente impensado. Mas ao pensar no impensado, entendi o que me fez pegar o celular e capturar o momento. Talvez eu nem precisasse escrever uma crítica sobre isso, uma vez que a imagem fala por si só. Porém, se fez necessário expressar textualmente um momento vivido por eles e sentido por mim. Fazer dever de casa antes da aula ou dentro do ônibus a caminho da escola, porque esqueceu é super comum. Entretanto, essa ideia ultrapassa a realidade que, possivelmente, eles desconhecem; por enquanto. Vamos, primeiramente, observar alguns detalhes da imagem: material didático descuidado; mochila transformou-se em almofada e mesa; dois meninos usando bermudas e um vestindo calças jeans; camisas do uniforme limpas; os três estão rodeados por folhas da árvore; a calçada é totalmente esburacada e suja; não eram nem 10 da manhã. Da minha janela vejo

Todos ou muitas pessoas já conhecem o perfil no Facebook ou já viram algum vídeo por ele gravado, registrando os assaltos na região central do Rio de Janeiro. Além do perfil, existe um site . A repercussão dos vídeos foi tamanha que chegou ao site G1 com uma matéria falando sobre a pessoa que filma e os desdobramentos da divulgação das filmagens. Pois bem, entre uma das pessoas procuradas para emitir uma opinião técnica sobre o ato do empresário foi a antropóloga Alba Zaluar, professora do Instituto de Estudos Sociais e Políticos da UERJ. Segue o que ela disse: "O carioca adora botar o Rio para baixo. Todos os outros estados e capitais têm problemas como os nossos, mas ninguém fala mal de sua cidade.
