How far can we go when we go abroad?
These days, I was thinking about my self-development during my stay in Vancouver. I not only learnt English, I have been learning how to socialize with another culture. It is obvious all these differences have a strong impact in the first moments, but after a while you have to absorb and try to adapt and respect. I don't think that we should compare and make assumptions of which is "better" or "makes more sense". If go abroad and live as you live in your country, it doesn't make any sense! Travel to distant place, sometimes in a trip that takes one or more days, means experience new situations. So, if you keep your old habits and thoughts, you will never enjoy the maximum of you can. When I was in school, I used to observe student's behavior. After classes, most of them met their same-country friends and started to speak their native language.. What?!?! I just could think: "They are spending money for nothing!!!" It was rare find someone worrie...
